What we do

What is IRATA Industrial Rope access?

Fair question. IRATA—the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association—is the world's leading authority on working at height using ropes. Since the early 1980s it's set the global standard for how people safely reach the hard-to-get-to places: up towers, down shafts, out over the water — hanging off two ropes instead of scaffolding or a crane.

Here's why it matters. Rope access is fast, low-impact and, done to the IRATA standard, extraordinarily safe. The Association holds a safety record unmatched anywhere in the access industry, and every member company is independently audited to keep it that way. That's the system we train you into.

An IRATA ticket is recognised the world over, and it opens doors across a huge range of industries—construction, oil and gas, wind and renewables, mining, confined spaces, engineering inspection and plenty more. THE COURSE LEVELS

LEVEL 1

NEW TO THE ROPES

Perfect for anyone new to the industry or those wishing to revalidate an existing qualification. Must be 18 years of age.

STEP IT UP

Ideal for Level 1 technicians wanting to upgrade their existing qualification or Level 2 personnel who wish to revalidate. Must have 1000 recorded rope access hours in logbook and a year past sense achieving L1 Irata qualification.

TAKE CHARGE

Designed for Level 2 technicians wanting to scale up, or existing Level 3 ticket holders who wish to revalidate. Must have another 1000 rope access hours recorded in logbook and a year past sense achieving L2 Irata qualification. Hold current First Aid.
